Yamuna, a young mother, moves to Mumbai to escape her abusive husband. Taking shelter in her aunt's house, Yamuna is determined to give her son a good education, and so begins to pose as a nude model at the art school where she works as a cleaner. There is an unevenness of tone throughout the film, as though Jadhav wants to be poetic, subtle and oblique yet doesn't want to let go of the inherent.
